It covers up to 75% of tuition costs and applicable fees at any Florida State University, Florida College System institutions, or Florida private colleges and universities that are accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC).

Requirements for FMS:

  • 3.0 weighted GPA or higher
  • 1170 SAT score or 26 ACT score
  • 75 community service hours
  • 4 full credits in English (3 with substantial writing)
  • 4 full credits in math (Algebra 1, Geometry, Algebra 2, and one additional course beyond Algebra 2)
  • 3 full credits in natural sciences (2 with laboratory experience)
  • 3 full credits in social sciences/history

Florida Gold Seal Vocational Scholars (GSV) award

The Florida Gold Seal Vocational Scholars (GSV) award is the final level of the Bright Futures Scholarships. This scholarship covers up to 75% of tuition costs and applicable fees at any Florida State University, Florida College System institutions, or Florida private colleges and universities that are accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC).
