Discover the Hidden Gems of Lakshadweep: Highlights from Our Memorable Cruise Trip

Lakshadweep is a destination worth exploring if you’re seeking a slice of tropical paradise. It’s a group of islands situated in the Arabian Sea and is known for its mesmerizing coral reefs, crystal-clear waters, and golden white sands. Recently, our team set sail on a seven-day cruise trip to the Lakshadweep islands.

The Journey towards Lakshadweep

Our journey started from Kochi, where we boarded our cruise ship. The route towards Lakshadweep was a scenic one, with the blue sea on one side and the greenery of the mainland on the other. We spent the first day of our journey on the ship and enjoyed the facilities and amenities that it had to offer.

Kadmat- Our First Stop

On the second day, we reached Kadmat, our first stop. Kadmat is a small island that is surrounded by a vast expanse of lagoon on its west side. The island is famous for its pristine beaches and coral reefs. We explored the island on foot and discovered some of the unique sights that it had to offer. We swam in the warm waters and found ourselves surrounded by schools of colorful fishes swishing by.

Bangaram Island – The Next Destination

Our next stop was Bangaram Island. It’s a crescent-shaped island with lush vegetation, turquoise waters, and pale-white sands. It’s a secluded island that offers a sense of solitude and tranquility to its visitors. We spent two days on the island and enjoyed the water sports that were on offer—snorkeling, scuba diving, kayaking and much more. We also took a stroll around the island and discovered a beautiful lighthouse.

Kavaratti – The Capital of Lakshadweep

We sailed towards Kavaratti, which is the capital of Lakshadweep. The island is known for its mosques, which have characteristic white domes and minarets. We visited the Urja mosque, which was built with striking architecture. We also visited the Dolphin Dive Center, where we saw many friendly dolphins.

Agatti Island – Our Final Destination

Our final destination was Agatti Island. We got the chance to see some of the mesmerizing coral reefs in the world. We also experienced the traditional marine life of the island. We even visited a nearby uninhabited island too!

Conclusion

Our seven-day cruise trip to Lakshadweep was a unique experience that we will never forget. The beautiful islands, turquoise waters, and rich marine life made this trip worth remembering. If you’re seeking a serene and exciting tropical getaway, Lakshadweep is a hidden gem that shouldn’t be missed.
